Ionic Detox Foot Bath for Animals

Aurora at the start of her weekly session for allergies.
Just like humans, our pets are exposed to numerous toxins everyday.  Pollution, chemicals around our homes and in their food, medications, and a host of other things can get trapped inside their joints, organs and nerves creating an ideal environment for the development of disease, allergies, immune system problems and pain.  The Ionic Detox Foot Bath draws these toxins out of the body by soaking the paws in water that has been electrically charged.

Note the color change and the "scum" on the surface of the water 10 min later.
The machine produces an alternating low voltage positive and negative pulse in a basin filled with water and sea salt for conductivity. Two of your pet's feet are kept in the water for approximately 15 minutes.  The treatment is wonderful for arthritis, allergies, irritable bowel, most chronic medical conditions, after the long term use of medications or the exposure to toxins, reducing pain and inflammation and accelerating the healing process.  Even better, it is great as a routine way of keeping your pet's body functioning at it's best and preventing problems before they start! Be sure to check with your veterinarian if your pet is a suitable candidate for an Ionic Detox session.

Kidney Values Lowered

Crystal has had kidney issues for 7 years.  We have been able to keep her Creatinine down to 2.1 (below 2.0 is "normal") with herbs, bicom and color therapy (Crystal loves the Scarlet and Magenta lights). She does not follow any special diet and can not receive fluids because of heart issues.  In October, Crystal's Creatinine went up to 2.7.  What had changed?  During our busy Fall, I had let our color therapy sessions lapse.  I went back to treating her 4 or more times weekly.  I also was able to get an occasional acupressure session in (Crystal only allows this in "special instances"...she absolutely decides when).   Last week at recheck her Creatinine was 2.1 once again.

Success with Hyperthyroidism

Sammy is a 17year old kitty that did not tolerate Methimazole tablets to control her thyroid levels.  Although she could tolerate a low dose of this medication as a transdermal gel, when her T4 was 7.8 (normal 1.9-4.8) in October, we could not increase the amount without stomach upset.  Since she has mild kidney changes, she was also not a candidate for surgery or  a radioactive iodine treatment.   I started Sammy on bugleweed twice daily as well as L-Carnitine and Standard Process's Hepatic Support.  (Elevated thyroid levels can harm the liver and Sammy had several elevated liver values.)    I gave weekly acupressure treatments to sedate the Triple Heater meridian and used the oils of Myrrh and Myrtle on selected points.  She also started twice a month bioresonance theray at Country Care Animal Complex in Green Bay.  I am happy to report that Sammy's T4 was 3.8 and her liver enzymes returned to normal!!

Bird in the Hand
Bird in the Bush
Our release attempt started with great hope as Amelia flew to a nearby bush.  She then slowly made her way to the ground where she chose to stay.  When I checked on her a few minutes later.  Since she tried to avoid my recapture by hopping along the ground and not by flying away, we decided that she was not ready to avoid predators.  I returned her to her cage.

Left Wing Improves

During our "physical therapy" sessions, Amelia has three times shown signs of some brief normal wing movement on the left side.  Tonight there was slight movement of her left leg but still no grasping with the left foot.  We still continue to enjoy the Kaytee baby bird food.  Our progress is slow, but it is progress.

Bird Massage 101

Although I have studied both cat and dog massage,  bird massage is outside of my usual repertoire.  Still I feel Amelia would benefit from some massage and range of motion exercises for her weak left side.  We have added this physical therapy after meals (with the continued Reiki, color therapy and Hypericum).  It has been a learning experience for us both.
